Tim Pacheco's music is his own. Of course you can hear his musical influences (as you can in all of us), but this is mature work in which Tim's voice has emerged very clearly. I also believe him as an artist. His music evokes deep, basic, clear emotion.... in short, it's true. Tim is a fine, disciplined player, but not a slave to technique.

Solid Air Records has just released their new CD "Poppin' Guitars - A Tuneful of Sherman", a collection of popular songs by Richard and Robert Sherman. The Shermans wrote much of the music for most of Disney's films such as "Mary Poppins", "The Jungle Book" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". The CD includes performances by Tommy Emmanuel, Laurence Juber, Elliott Easton (from the Cars), myself and many more. Available for order at Acoustic Music Resource

Hey all ~ just got back from the studio and I was working on two new songs that I'm really excited about. I had my good friend Carole Belmore add some layered ethereal vocals (ooohs and aaahs) and it turned out better then I could have hoped. Carole's husband Terry was there with valuble input (he's got the ear) and Christa was there for over all support. We also did a little tweaking on another track tentively called "Blue Yonder", bringing up the cello in the mix. Big kudos to Rick Sutton of Sutton Sound Studio for bringing it all together so beautifully. More then ever I am anxious to record more songs and get a new CD out as soon as I can. Wish me luck!

I am really excited to have just completed recording a song for an upcoming Solid Air Records release called "Poppin' Guitars". This new collection of acoustic guitar songs follows in the path of the CD's "Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar" and "Cole Porter: Delovely Guitar", both great collections of various guitarists performing their arrangements of Mancini and Porter compositions. My arrangement of Cole Porter's "True Love" appeared on "Delovely Guitar".

"Poppin' Guitars" will be a collection of songs composed by brothers Robert and Richard Sherman. The Sherman Brothers are Academy Award-winning American songwriters who specialize in musical films. The Sherman Brothers wrote more motion-picture musical song scores than any other songwriting team in film history,working for Walt Disney during the last six years of his life. Film scores of the Sherman Brothers include Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Jungle Book and The Aristocats.

My arrangement of "Stay Awake" from the film "Mary Poppins" will apear on the CD and will also include instrumental guitar perfomances of other Sherman songs by Laurence Juber, Tommy Emmanuel and Elliot Easton (formerly of the Cars) among many others. I will post info here as to the release date and where it can be ordered. I will have copies for sale at some of my gigs as soon as it is available.
